A unique visual identity
Inspired by Romans
Exeter's own premium gin takes its inspiration from the city’s Roman heritage. Using ancient botanicals favoured by the Romans, the gin is distilled in small batches in a traditional copper still to create a unique taste experience. They wanted a bottle that would stand-out and show off their unique visual identity for the brand.
WHAT WE DID
A bold bottle
The design concept featured Roman soldiers around the circumference of the bottle. We used the Rawlings’ Domed bottle, similar in shape to the Nocturne bottle widely used for gin brands so it could be quickly identified as a gin product. However, the unique tapered body and domed shoulder gives it a different, more premium look, with a bold black screen print bringing the brand identity and its Roman soldiers to life.
A Viking invasion
The end result is high-end packaging with strong visual appeal, giving standout for Exeter Gin in its crowded market sector. Following the success of this bottle, Rawlings has developed another three including one based on the Viking invasion of Exeter by the Lodbrok family.
